Watching football…so I’m going short today. Basically a pretty dope pop album, from an indie giant, Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio) – in a passion project/solo/production push. It has a lot of the likely usual suspects, but Sitek really manages to flip the songs in a way that you really enjoy with some immediacy. It’s supposed to be fun, at the same time unique in the combinations of sounds….some of it TVOTR style, some of it is funky, some of it is very N.E.R.D. like….and for the most part it works. Recommended for indie pop fans and, of course, fans of Sitek and TVOTR. Pretty dope party material.
